Gainesville Elite Basketball Season is under way...
We've started this blog as a way to keep our supporters informed about our progress and give an opportunity to share our experience as we forge in the season with hopes of winning a National Championship in A.A.U. and U.S.S.S.A. leagues.
To bring everyone up to speed, we went down the Orlando Tournament for the Super Regionals Championships for A.A.U. on 3/19-20/2011. We played 5 games in 2 days and walked away with our first tournament championship of the season. It was everything you could think it would be with new faces on our team and old ones merging to form a team chemistry needed to be victorious. Everyone contributed and the Parents were in the stands supporting as well, which was much needed.
Next up was the 12th Annual Gainesville Stampede Shootout, that took place in Gainesville, Fl. on 4/3-4/2001 Schools that were hosting were, Oak Hall H.S., Santa Fe H.S., Gainesville H.S., Buchholz H.S. We played 4 games in 2 days, with the championship game being very intense and competitive. We faced the Gainesville Kings, who played their hearts out, I'm sure motivated by the fact that the day before we played them and the game kinda got out of hand and we routed them by 20. We knew going into this game that it would not be an easy win, they had us down by 10 points in the 2nd half, but we gave an all out effort to erase the deficit and come out victorious. This gave us our 2nd championship in 2 tournaments. Great way to start of the season, we are thankful but in no way satisfied just with these wins. We are all committed to becoming better coaches and players, so we hope as the season goes on that you come along with us for this journey and thank you in advance for your support.
